The Business Park Company; the master developer of the King Hussein Business Development Zone, signed an agreement with the Engineering Consultant Company, Engicon, to develop the detailed architectural designs to for the construction and implementation of the first phase of KHBP expansion master plan. Phase I includes the addition of approximately 40,000 square meters of office space to the current Business Park location. The agreement was signed by Eng. Soud Soror, Chief Executive Officer of King Hussein Business Park, and Mr. Tarek Zureiqat, Chief Executive Officer of Engicon.
Engicon, will prepare the architectural designs for the new buildings of Phase I, which will include office space of international standards ready to be used by local, regional and international companies, as well as the designs to its supporting facilities such as parking spaces, support services and business facilities. The new buildings will be common in appearance to the existing buildings of KHBP and share the same architectural language. Nevertheless, with enhanced and more efficient layout. Engicon will also develop the buildings according to the best international codes and standards in terms of infrastructure requirements, structural designs, civil works, elector-mechanical systems, and communications and information technology infrastructure, building management and firefighting systems. The design will be overseen by DJ Jones & Associates - Jordan, the owner representative of the Business Park Company, which is assigned to provide consultancy services for the development of the overall KHBP Master Plan .
Eng. Soud Al Soror, Chief Executive Officer of King Hussein Business Park, said “that the business park has succeeded in attracting leading international, regional and local companies and projects to become a hub for business and an incubator for creativity and innovation with capabilities of attracting more investments. With the increasing demand for office space by many local and international companies, the management of the business park has prepared a comprehensive expansion plan on an area of 1.4 million square meters. The first phase of the plan will now be implemented through the development of approximately (40,000) square meters of office space and business facilities. Engicon was chosen being one of the leading Jordanian engineering firms in the field of engineering consultancy, project management, engineering supervision and planning."
From his side Tariq Zureiqat, Chief Executive Officer, Engicon, said “that the project will build on the current success of the King Hussein Business Park and that Engicon will work with its sister company, Praxis, to design the right smart solutions derived from experienced engineers available in the company.”
